Description: This data is compiled from both tabular and shapfile/feature class formats from the following sources: California Department of Water Resources California Data Exchange Center (CDEC), California Nevada River Forecast Center National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NWSCNRFC), United States Geological Survey (USGS), and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), 2010. Also used were parts of the CA DWR DRMS geodatabase.NWSCNRFC and USACE gages are only present for the San Joaquin River Regional Watershed.Where duplicate records were found during the compilation process, tabular data extracted from CDEC was used as the authoritative source for physical location and other attributes were compiled from all sources applicable for that location. Where duplicates were found and the tabular CDEC source was not one of the gages, USGS locations were used. In addition to the CDEC and USGS attributes, attributes were added from the "gages_DWR" and "stage_gages" feature classes from the DRMS geotabase. The DRMS geodatabase was provided by DWR specifically for use in compiling the Delta Area Atlas.
